Excellent, thanks for sharing. And for those that are asking how to affix to the ceiling, use liquid nail. It comes in tubes to put in a caulking gun.

Did you stain them before or after you hung them?

Did a pallet wood accent wall. Want to do the ceiling in my laundry room but my Dad said beware of the wire placement with an air nailer, any suggestions?
@globmonster9248 жыл бұрын
Awesome!! Can you share your stain colors?

Great job! I want to do a pallets ceiling in my basement and have to collect a loooot of pallets :( Since it is difficult to find all the pallets with same thickness. I am wondering the different thickness of the pallets is a plus to the appearence or not. I do not have machine(planer) to make all pallets same thickness.

Are all the boards rough or did you plane any of them down?
@WestonBuchan3 жыл бұрын
Looks great! Once you stripped down the wood did you plain it or sand it before staining?

Did you use glue for every board? If you did what type of glue did you use sir ?
@NAKMartialArts4 жыл бұрын
Looks like you put them on top of the sheet rock? I’m thinking of doing the same thing. Did you seal them after you finished? Did you use a framing gun or a finishing gun. And what size of nails

What type of nail gun did you use?

What is the square footage of your ceiling? I started out with a few pallet but very discouraging being that I have 450 SF to cover.
@4cClubT9 жыл бұрын
what did you fasten the wood to? drywall or joists
@Stuff4Guys9 жыл бұрын
+4cClubT I nailed off to the joists. Its easiest to chalk a line for each one.
@JasonMontaner8 жыл бұрын
What kind of nails do you suggest? Finishing nails?
@Stuff4Guys8 жыл бұрын
I used my angle nail gun with 2 1/2 nails, prob a way overkill but better. hand nailing finish nails sounds difficult!

Are you concerned with the heat that the can lights can put off?
@dgm62777 жыл бұрын
Overall I liked this. The only thing I would have do differently is plane the boards to a common thickness. For me the differing thickness detracts from the overall appearance.
@baims83677 жыл бұрын
Nice idea but the original nail holes look like shit I'd of nipped the ends to a flush fresh cut man
