The speaker explained Rwandan’s history the western world style , her interpretation of different ethnic groups in rwanda and history of education was wrong and very shower . Let me write a bit about their history and culture . 1. Tutsi and Hutu speak one language since their creation. 2. Tutsi and Hutu have same clans 3. Tutsi and Hutu have been intermarrying since history 4. Tutsi and Hutu have always lived together 5. The Rwandan kingdom for centuries was a kingdom for both Hutu and Tutsi , although the kings linage was Tutsi and both groups worked so hard to protect their kingdom from any external invasion . Some corrections. The Rwandan Education was brought in by Belgians in early 1900s, so it’s not true that school boxes has existed for centuries that distinguished Hutu and Tutsi . The Belgian colonial system introduced ethnic identities in every system of governance in order to create divide and rule They introduces it in schools, hospitals , government jobs, army , police extra. After deciding people in different ethnic groups , The Belgians always sided with one group against the other depending on the interests they were Pershing , and this created a lot of ethnic tension that never existed in the history of rwanda. The Belgians after falling out with Tutsi in late 1950s , abolished the kingdom of rwanda and trained Hutu to massacre the Tutsi Causing the first Rwandan genocide against the Tutsi . The Tutsi ran away from 1959

It would seem Europeans are good with divide and conquer. Same with my country, colonized by Europeans……If you look at history, colonization has created so much disaster and trauma.

You're wrong on saying they never had any problems before colonialism, and right on them not being ethnic groups.

This whole video is problematic. The title and speaker were already mismatched.

@@1wun1 they never had a problem because they were not antagonists. All these problems started when colonization forces turned them into ethics. That's the truth.

@@loveandonlylove2359 not antagonistic with the war of conquests? What did former land owners become after defeat?

@@1wun1 the conquest wars were never about grabbing lands but consolidating the conquered people around one goal. Wich was the greatness of the Rwandan values. It has never been about the lands or properties. But as all feudal monarchies, the king was the owner of everything but he never administered anything. Lastly, these ears were not Hutu against Tutsi but Rwandans versus foreigners.
