Quick question. If I was enrolled to complete a Bachelors of Science in Engineering but due to financial reasons, I could only do a 1and a half years. Right now I'm thinking of transitioning to a college (same field) to complete my national certificates, can I later on be credited for the modules I completed up to N6 when I'm financially ready to complete my degree?

The RPL process is quite lengthy I must say. I have N4 - N6. I will wait for my N diploma. Currently waiting for graduation date. The government has failed the TVET sector why do we have to struggle so much to further our studies. Some students have waited for like a year (s) to graduate and still have to suffer to further their studies due to their tvet diploma qualification not recognised in institutions.

At UWC it takes 6 months for the RPL, however I do agree with you it is a challenge to get the N diploma DHET takes very long

How do they combine matric results and tvet results in order to enter at university or they only check tvet college results which is N4?

No they don’t combine them. This mainly depends on each institution, some will consider n4-n6 some don’t unless you finish and get a diploma.

I believe nsfas funds advanced diplomas, especially for TVET students because remember they only fund you for 18 months

Hey Sis do you know any websites were we can access ebooks for Free (Nated engineering) ? colleges are taking long to buy books only a few are willing to give away/lend books

Hi I don’t know of any free websites perhaps ask for PowerPoint slides from lecturers and take notes, that worked better for my students

Hi Yondela. I was wondering if you can you possibly help do a video on the tvet college Diploma application process, I know a few students who have struggled with it like me and even been rejected after submitting their application. How do we properly file evidence of training and what information the department of education actually requires on the reference letter. I did the Hospitality and catering services course. You're help will be highly appreciated 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
