Hey everyone!
Over Spring Break, I was over in the Capitol Hill area to experiment with a camera I was borrowing from a friend, and hoped to find some cool trucks. With Lodals on the mind, I saw two before I even had a chance to get ready and begin walking around the neighborhood! Once I tracked down this truck finishing up a residential trash route, I got the ok to follow along from the drivers and managed to capture enough footage for a full video. This is the first video I've ever filmed on a camera other than my battered Gopro or a smartphone, definitely a neat but also challenging experience to experiment with the lighting, zoom, and focus on a Canon! Evidently, it goes without saying that most of these shots are either over zoomed in or a few notches too high contrast, but I feel like the video still turned out well. I had to stand practically half a block away to get the truck fully in frame, fully zoomed out. I love the quality difference filming with a Canon camera, though - and a good truck to test it out on: my first Lodal I've filmed in Seattle, and according to the driver, the same truck but repainted that I took some pictures of almost exactly a year before I recorded this video. You can see the Cleanscapes pastel green inside the cab if you look closely.
Thanks to Steve and his trainee for allowing me to get some footage! Enjoy the video!
