Loved the video man! Brings back memories when I used to go on charter trips with my dad back in 2012-13. Dad recently passed away dec 26th 2023 and he lived and breathed fishing doing 7-14 day trips smacking blue fin and yellow tail. Now I’m just saving up a bit for a couple half day trips here just to bring back memories♥️🙏🏼 and possibly even buy a center console in the future🙏🏼

@@Itzjayyz same here brother. My dad passed away in 2008. He LOVED fishing. I guess I was the apple that didn’t fall far from the tree. I hope you get out soon. Everything is so expensive these days it’s making it harder and harder to get out. Thanks for watching.

I remember these trips. Everyone got older and kids lost interest and moved away. Sold my 22''" Radon. Thanks for sharing! Your so right that we have so much here in SoCal!

Nice trip, too bad limit the Reds to two. I miss the old days, no sizes and limits. But I can see their reason for it. My biggest sheepshead to this day 25 pounds many years ago.

I apologize if I’m wrong, but is the guy in orange named Kim? If so, I served on the Enterprise CVN 65 with him. Great video, by the way.

Why do so many guys on KZbin have their drags set so low that you can pull line out that easily? You're not using 7x tippet on a fly rod. Set the drag to the pound test of the line. Decent halibut.
@Lake2Offshore5 ай бұрын
@@davkrat5I’m using 25lb test fluoro and 30% of that is 7.5lbs of drag. That Halibut was over 30lbs. How tight do you set your drags at?
