Thank you for your talk. I feel inspired and will not let it fizzle out! Much respect love and courage to you and us all as we aim towards Reconciliation. We need to heal and get back on track with the passing on of knowledge and truly living the First Peoples Principles.

I heard Chief Justice Murray Sinclair in Whistler. He said (I paraphrase), "Truth and reconciliation is a two step process, and if you think the Truth part was difficult....." Working to change the school curriculum - wow!

We've yet to see that, we are teaching by the standards of who's values? I've been and Indigenous educator for over 30 years and as an alumni of the public school system, have always been frustrated with the content of the curriculum which still today isn't relevant Indigenous students. It wasn't relevant when I went to a public school and it still wasn't when my children attended the same schools. What and who is it going to take to acturally change the content of the BC Curriculm, I voice my opinions, but on deaf ears I guess but I will never stop voicing my opinions. They will never want to give up that power over indigenous people and our children. I am still here and will continue to share and teach with those that I cross paths with, but especially for those not yet born.
