Thank you for the amazingly informative video~!! I's good to see I'm using the tools you recommended in the video. I'm a content editor for a creator and I have been using HitFilm for about a year now. HitFilm is super intuitive and there are so many options available. I'm currently banking for the Pro version because of all the added features available vs. free version. Keep up the good work! Love you all!!

OBS can capture from multiple audio signals at the same time and put them in the capture stream, so I don't see the need for audacity to record the audio. Is HitFilm not able to pull them through? I tend to cap with the TS format and use avidemux for messing about with prepping streams, so I can still pull the audio out and post-operatively process with audacity and mux it to mp4 for HitFilm. It may be extra steps, but means you have less apps hitting the CPU at record-time, as some games use a lot of the PC's resources.

Right I’m just watching videos to understand dieffent ways to do things but your absolutely right. OBS seems to record the cam , the audio through my interface and on my game from my Xbox through Elgato capture card. And I can export it and it’s separate. Then I import to divinci resolve and edit there.

Well for me it's completely out of sync when I use audacity By the way I use filmora and I have paid 30£ for it so I'm hoping there's an answer somewhere otherwise what's the point

I've never used compression on audacity this is really information, this was more of a refresher for me, feel like this was more aimed at new and novice creators my weakness is editing efficiency I'm too much of a perfectionist

The best tip I’ve heard for perfectionism is to only get your videos to 90%. That final 10% could stop you from ever finishing and it’s likely no one will notice the minuscule things! -Louisa

I'm having a problem where my mic is a unacceptable host and it's a bower mic do I need to do something

When I tried to export my video it included about a minute of blackscreen up to the 5 minute mark where there wasn't any media on the timeline. My question is, WTF? And how do you fix this? I've never seen an editor export blank timeline just to satisfy an arbitrary minute mark.

You'll need to choose to export the Contents instead of the In-Out Area, or adjust the blue region on your timeline to only include your media.
