you should do anime scenes. its very popular with the vfx scene. People love seeing how to create their favorite anime into live action. And you guys know what you are doing so the recreating will be good. It will get tons of attention. The anime community has a very strong cult fanbase

These guys are pros if they do it its gonna stand out from the janky ones people do. jalex rosa did one 1 month ago it has 5.4 million. The people who do it professional pull numbers. anime as a cult fan base. the anime fans eat that shit up.

what Cam /lens (used/older) would be a good entry into this style of content? i was thinking ursa mini (maby good for later if you wanna live capture onto digital backgrounds with vive controllers) /or BMP 4k + a few of the SAMYANG cinematic series or just a Sigma art 18-50?

Quick question. In this case why didn’t you use camtrackar to load environment into the camera while filming? Wouldn’t this have been easier than tracking later ? I’m just curious. Thanks

I'm not even mad about the Hitfilm model change, the pro subscription is only 12/month which is rlly cheap the only real change is the subscription stuff, a couple new effects, and a cleaner interface

This is so cool! You guys did a great job. The only thing i would say is that the bullets hitting your main subject feel a little too spread out. as there are bullets hitting all over the place, while the gun that is firing them stays relatively still.

great videos, im gonna begin useing hitfilm video edit. i need help on camera selection: Ursa mini 4.6 1gen BMPCC 4/or 6k Sony FX-30 vfx im gonna use it mostly indoor and for stopmotion/vfx/greenscreen work. im litterly lost, i know all 3 good but i know nothing about Vfx, i see the new sont fx30 is 14bit is that a better option post than the 12bit from the BMPCC 4k -6k?

Good question! In the past I’ve used a still frame and masked a clean patch. Then placed that over the tracking point. It’s a little different if there are shadows etc. though maybe we can work on a future tutorial to help! - Tom

The only thing that is scary is that 4K resolution was removed from HitFilm Free for no reason at all.

Useful tutorial, but no, don't put the completed shot at the end of the tutorial. You need that to get the inexperienced VFX audience excited for what they are about to learn. That was a bad call. For experienced users seeing the final shot begins the immediate game of "let's see if I can figure out how they did this," which is a dual win-win. If we guess right, yay! We know what we're doing! If we guess wrong, YAY! We learned something new! But it starts with seeing the shot first, please. Thanks.
