Record Basics: 1. Why Buy Vinyl?

I know audiophools buy vinyl, but does anyone who wants quality still do it, other than for nostalgia.

I think that anyone who wants quality definitely buys records. Yes, there's definitely a trendy, nostalgic aspect to it for younger people, but all things considered, the complete package offered from vinyl is THE way to go.

LOL RIAA equalisation, stereo from a single needle, wow & flutter, dust, static, rumble, acoustic feedback, reverse RIAA equalisation, pre-amplication before the signal gets to the volume control. Audiophoolery is all it is. My system is digital from storage to digital crossover and could not be bested by pressed vinyl.
