What is the make and model of your lapel mic or can you or anyone else reading this recommend a the best quality completely wireless option for a great price. Is there an option where you can be totally mobile without having the receiver that has to plug into power supply. I do a lot of filming on the fly, outdoors mainly. Would love you help. Many thanks in advance.

Hi and thanks so much for the video. Is there a way that you know of, without buying an accessory mic, to prevent the problem of recorded volume level changing when I'm recording a video with the iPhone? I have this experience when making a selfie type video, even indoors with no background noises or significant changes in volume of my speaking, no changes in camera position, and the audio recording of me speaking will start at say 100% volume and then drop to like 20% for a few seconds, then alternate back and forth between these sound levels. Wondering if you know any settings that can be tweaked since I might not always have an external mic when the need arises to video something. Thanks in advance!

Never realized I could use a microphone on my phone. The sound is significantly better. Thank you for the tip. (BTW I am simply using my headset. For some reason the mic on my laptop doesn't work properly because of that damn windows 8.1 system. Don't update realtek with the latest driver. It will kill the noise for sure but a little too good if you know what I mean. But now I can record a decent sounding voice over again.)

don't for get you can use USB mic's as well with iOS devices all apps support it because all you need is the USB adapter for you iOS device for android you need a OTG to usb cable and currently only one app supports USB mice and that is USB Audio Recorder Pro, unfortunately there is not video apps on android that supports USB audio but on iOS all videos apps support USB mics.

There's now another solution: Rode smartLav+, a Lavalier mike especially designed to be used with smartphones. In combination with the Rode recording app (it's cheap to get the full version) you end up with broadcast quality audio which you can add later to your video. If you use only one device for both video and audio you'll need a TRRS extension cable though, the smartLav+ lead is just long enough for recording audio.

what happens if you plug that into a speaker? will you be able to talk into it and come out thru the speakers?
@danmaudsley37786 жыл бұрын
No. You need an amp of some sort that will take the mic as an input and output it to the speakers. One exception - some powered speakers do have an amp built in and may have a mic in that you can plug directly into.

I've been to a concert and I was recording some songs. Unfortunately the audio is terrible and I'm really sad because of it. Supposedly, my phone's microphone does not support such a loud sound. Ok, I know what to do in the upcoming events, but is there ANY possibility to fix the audio on these already recorded songs? Even a little bit? I would appreciate any kind of help! I am hoping for some feedback. Thanks in advance!

Interesting video but... where can we get such a mic (I've looked, can't find it), and will it work on Android or Windows tablets and phones, or just on iPhone?
@Wishbringer79 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks Ality. I've seen that mike on Amazon but it's not the one he mentioned from Ebay. I actually have a "step up" of the Olympus referred... and those mikes work by muffling overall sound. So yes while they reduce ambient noise, they also tend to muffle the quality of voice and solo music recording. I've tested both an Olympus and Sony mic in that same class and my built-in phone mic sounds as good if not better. So I was curious about the particular mike he showed in the video. Am especially curious about the mike he never showed close-up... the one he's actually wearing on his shirt.

That mic will help a bit, but not a ton. Notice what he is using to record him, a lapel mic, not that little mic he is showing. Unfortunately, most lapel moils will not work on a Smartphone, so you do need a special one. Rode has one, and there is also this one here that works on Phones AND traditional video cameras: www.pocketvideopro.com

I cover press conferences sometimes where the sound is coming off speakers around the room. Just use the built in microphone. Any suggestions? Check the video interviews I have done on my KZbin page. Yes, also, as others have said in this thread, give us the links to every product! you already invented the wheel by finding the product.. don't make us reinvent the Wheel by looking high and low for these products. otherwise, what's the point of showing us the product ??? we don't have time to do all this research to find these exact products. when you find these products n then decide to recommend such, why not contact the promotional departments of these brands?.. U could probably get some type of remuneration, either by receiving free product or monetary; of course, then, do NOT allow such remunerations to creep into the subject of your product recommendations and distort and ruin your objectivity... 😊

It's a handy product if you're next to the iPhone, but it is completely useless if you're trying to record a presentation where the speaker is far away.
@danmaudsley37786 жыл бұрын
You’d be better placing a small sound recorder (such as the Zoom) on or near the podium. Alternatively you could stand near to a speaker (assuming the lecturer is using a mic) and the phone should pic up the sound from that just fine.
