The outright Haltech Horsepower Heroes record has been broken by a six cylinder. 2504.3hp or 1867.5kW!
This incredible machine was put together by the team at Maatouks Racing and uses a Haltech Nexus R5 to control the incredible Nissan RB engine.
This car now owns both the outright competition record, the six cylinder record, and the record for the biggest cheer from the packed crowd in the MPW Dyno Pavilion.

I remember 80psi was put onto a 1.5 L race car in the 1950,s with 550hp the result.But this is nuts.That would be about 1500hp without the Nitrous & about 1200hp on petrol.And about 210 with no turbo boost.Just needs Nitro fuel to finish it off.

For us dreamers out there, what would be an estimated build cost just for the engine alone? There's another guy that features fast fords/holdens on his y/tube channel and those owners are spending on average about $40-$60k on bolt-ons as is..I reckon this entire engine would cost $200k..just saying.. And it's a work of art!

Well the bare block with nothing in it is $14000. That turbo is north of $10k, manifolds and piping would be another $10k or more, the ECU is about $5-6k without any wiring or sensors. By the time you include built head, high end rotating assembly, fuel system and tons of little things, your clearing $100k easily.

That turbo 400 would be over $20k, and who knows how many hundreds of hours of fab work has gone in to it and realistically that’s probably all booked at $150 per hour or more. Cars of this magnitude can easily creep up over 1/4 million. It’s honestly probably cheaper to build a promod.
