Record MPC Without the Plugin MIDI IN & OUT IN STANDALONE

That's quite resourceful.. quite a handy workaround for the 'lack-there-of' access to the MIDI interface on the rear of the MPC whilst in Controller Mode. 👍

Great. Another way to do a connection between Studio One and MPC. I produce my beats standalone and then track them out to produce them further in detail in Studio One. But I could give this other method you have mentioned here a try also.

So, my own experience would suggest you will find the audio might not line up with the grid due to latency (midi + audio in latency) and you might need to adjust the audio timing by aligning, particularly if you're using other Studio One instruments/VSTs.

How do you get the mpc to the interface to the computer? I’m thinking maybe my AI is a cheap one that doesn’t have all the ports I need. Which ports are you using from the mpc and which ports are you using on your interface? Thank you!

Can you do a midi sync and record audio instead of midi notes . That would cut out this extra step

This worked all the way up to hearing MPC ONE audio via my Presonus Studio 24c interface. But after recording MPC midi, playback delivers no audio from midi track. We continued to follow steps and created a Audio (S) track. We didn't have to modify input because we only have Studio 24c interface. When we hit record no audio was recorded. Is there something that we missed?

i done this along time ago and found the mpc one bad for midi timing is bad on mpc very bad they need to fix that in standalone

So we can record audio from MPC ONE to audio track. We can't sync MPC to S1 play button or mpc midi track on S1 to play mpc audio

Once midi is recorded into studio One and I quantize it. How does MPC ONE get that information so that the recorded audio track receives the quantified sounds?

In my case I use my Mpc X as my audio interface so would I have to just acquire an usb to midi cable in order for this to work?

Hey. Is it possible to do it otherwise? using usb , for example - Flstudio as a midi input, and control the sound from your DAW via Akai mpc midi track? sorry i dont know hot to explane better. :D

You said your just using a couple of TRS cables from your mpc one for this set-up??I'm assuming your using a midi in and out from the mpc one to a midi hub then connecting TRS cables directly to your audio interface input???

Yes, sending and receiving midi via midi cables and recording audio via TRS.

Does this work for logic as well? I’m struggling to get my mpc working with this new m1 chip but there’s gotta be a workaround and I’m thinking this may be it…
