Regarding "hate clicks"...I respect that you don't go that direction. There are a couple other KZbin channels out there that I used to watch but have gone down that route. All the usual tricks...thumbnails with the shocked/disgusted face, click bait headline, multiple videos on the same thing. The more people watch these videos the more they hate...and the more they hate the more they want to watch. I really do think it's actually having a tangible effect on depression levels and happiness in society at large. If I was in this space, I'd want to play no part at all in this feedback loop of negativity.

A couple? More like an endless amount. Thankfully, we have a few good people still around. ReelRejects, Screencrush, NR, Emergency Awesome(he's dope, but makes too many videos about nothing), Star Wars Explained, and a few others. But people who don't farm in hate. If they don't like a thing, they say so and try to find things they like or not discuss it at all. Do a breakdown video and move on. And my favorite things about these people along with John is they aren't shy about telling whoever is watching that they are pathetic and not to watch their channels if they grift and live for culture wars nonsense.

I feel the same about the hate video and posts gettin' more clicks is soo exhausting and depressin'. I actually believe reddit, twitter, youtube, Etc kills fandom. when these platforms should bring us together to talk about the things we love instead we are using these platforms to talk about the stuff we hate. It all just echo chamber now. a cesspool of negativity. If you hate everything how can you have a enough room to love anything or appreciation anything or have you reached to a point that you seeking out stuff to hate on. Because if you are miserable and everyone loves this one thing. You want to ruin it for them and make them miserable bc I'm miserable. It all so depressin' For example I love wrestlin' and I used watch this one Podcaster called JDfromNY but since he has gotten sooo overly negative and nit-picky about things outside of wwe that it just became exhausting to me. So much so that it just turned me off of his content entirely, i just can't watch his content anymore. I have not tuned in to any of his video bc it too much negativity and toxicity and hiding the behavior behind the excuse of constructive criticism when really it all for clicks is just all disingenuous and I can't believe anything someone says anymore.

The major problem with The Acolyte is it's 8-episode structure. I bet you could give it the "Obi-Wan" treatment and edit it down into a decent watchable 2-hour movie.

Mae turn didn't bother me. It was probably the most realistic thing that the show did....however...it is one of the most laziest things to do with that character. We have watched wayyyyyy too much TV series with great arcs of redemption. Throwing that potential away so quickly was probably a huge misstep.

Honestly, John’s bitching about the prequels is coming across as “Grandpa comes over for Christmas dinner and spends the whole time bitching about uncle Prequels for not being a laborer and having a real job like your dad, when in reality ‘Uncle Prequels’ is the cool uncle and a tech genius who owns a million dollar software company, travels all the time and goes all over the world, all the kids really admire and find hilarious. Like at a certain point, you have to admit that a significant amount of people love those films, and while you (John) might not, it doesn’t make him the drunk embarrassing family member from that metaphor

Wedon over the Russos is insane.... the Russos and Marcus and Mcfeely saved the mcu. Without them iron man's story ends in age of ultron. Does the avengers movie really feel different than an iron man movie with all the characters... I'd argue the fact that those four guys (and James Gunn) not being involved anymore is why the mcu hasn't been very good

The reason the MCU hasn't been as good is Chapek made Marvel quadruple the workload. That is over now thanks to Iger being back. Things will go back to normal. Time to move on and let them show us.

Saved is a bit of an exaggeration. MCU's main problem is lack of focus. We used to have an Avengers movie to tighten up each Phase. For some reason they threw away their structure from previous Phases in favor of putting out more TV series for Disney+.

Feige never said Agents of Shield was separate. He helped market it when it was airing. There are references and connections to it in Daredevil which is now 100% canon. There is even a reference to it on the WHIH web series produced by Marvel Studios.
