I saw Bjork about five or six years ago at the Hollywood Palladium, tickets were $100, and it was without a doubt, the worst concert I’ve ever seen!

ahhh!! i love that you picked up the boosh release - i'm in the US and had to hit up ebay super early on saturday morning for that one (early enough that it was before the ridiculous prices they are going for now) before heading out to queue at my local shop for the other/US goodies lol. looking forward to when it finally arrives. and it was very cool that they were named the ambassadors too! :)

Quite a haul! Wasn't expecting you to unveil the Roy Ayers/ Fela Kuti record as one of your purchases 🙂 I didn't do the whole up-at-the-crack-of-dawn thing this year. I went in the following day and a couple of the titles on my list had sold out so I only bought one record that weekend. On the following Friday my local shop was having a 10% off remaining RSD stock so I bought a couple of LPs that I'd originally decided to pass on.

Thanks - yeah the OSTs were pretty good this year! It's a shame Mighty Boosh was only in the UK - I think they didn't realise how many US fans they have! Hopefully they'll do another version for a later international release?

I've been watching your channel since I discovered your complete Björk discography vlog (one of your most popular, I'm sure) early last year as I was revisiting some of her live concert videos from the '90s like 'Cambridge.' I'm always impressed by the sincerity and eloquence of your content- and just how generally thorough you are in characterizing artists and adding further context. I admire your passionate takes even if we may not share quite the same taste. I would actually love to hear a few more words from you on French yé-yé with an overview of your vinyl collection. :) I don't know how familiar you may be with "nouvelle chanson française," but if you're interested in yé-yé's modern, moodier, artsier counterpart, it's hard to go wrong with Françoiz Breut. Fingers crossed. Noel's show sold out when he did tour in my neck of the woods so I'm pretty sure they know the popularity. It was probably just to give the UK fans something special, which I get. I'm just going to be jealous as well. 😄 I'm glad that at least released The Struts album here. I can't go all the way to the UK to be buying records.
