Just (pre)ordered my 1st Recorder! I'm just liking softness of lighter wooded instrument in the early morning, and the more immediacy of the olive later on in the day. If that sounds weird it's due me listening on a tablets' speakers! I'm probably missing a whole bunch.

Which one uses more air? I have an old 1976 Kung meisterstruck alto which I like, but have nothing to compare it to, other than an Aulos Haka and an ancient Dolmetsch, neither of which are wood. I do feel like my Küng requires more air out of the three, but of course makes up for it with tone. I have heard Moeck uses less air than others, but have no access to recorders to try or borrow.

I love both but I guess my pick would be the tone of the yellow one. What is that one please?

I like them both but my choice would be the Kung Superio in Olive.

Mine too, although it would be very good to hear the Denner in a harder wood :)

Olive wood is the darker, stripey one. I play the kung in olive 2nd :)

Why do try the same wood in both tenors ? This is more equally and ecuanime

I own the Kung and borrowed the Mollenhauer. I agree it would be good to compare the same woods but I didn't have access to one.

Yes, I borrowed the Mollenhauer and it wasn't in the same wood as my Kung. The same wood would have been interesting.

I am a huge Denner fan, but in this case, Kung is noticeably superior
