I have the YRS-302B . I also have a YRS-312B Costs twice as much and sounds even better. It's Ebony woodgrain. They also have a Rosewood grain one.

Its a normal instrument its not just for kids... You cam play a lot harder songs. I play recorder for 5 years and everyone who says they played recorder too, plays horribly and can't even do the t-d thingie 😂. Its no just for kids!!!!

I ordered the above recorder from amazon and the bag is the same but there's no stamp on the recorder itself apart from 24 on the mouthpiece part and 21 on the lower end and a B under the thumb hole. There's no indication of it being a YRS 302BIII - it could be a cheaper model. How can I tell it's the real thing? Can anyone help?

The recorder itself won’t be marked YRS-302B III … the bag SHOULD be. If the bag is marked with that model, you should be good.

could you lower the volume of the backing track a bit? some times its a bit loud and harder to seperate just recorder instrument alone
