Fantastic stuff brother. Thanks for recording and posting you made a real difference to my recording 😊 I recorded a chord progression in C which went well. Ive been recording acoustic & vocals together on the app & can get a decent enough sound to keep for ideas. Im tryinh to figure out how to record multi tracks while keeping each track from just overlapping on top of each other. I cant figure it out. I record a simple acoustic/vocals all the way through. I then want to start adding tracks - harmonies, doubling up vocals & guitars, appregios, fills, & stuff like that. I cannot record new tracks without the first track being in the other tracks. After 2 tracks it becomes a fuzzy mess. I tried using headphones to hear but my phone wont record from the mic if headphones are in. Is the only way to record each track over a metronome & just be as stiff as a board trying to stay exactly on time? I hate playing with a metronome & ive been playing guitar for almost 30 years. I dont vibe playing over a metronome. I like playing over the actual music. If I can figure out how to not have track 1 be recorded by the mic as im adding 2nd track over the 1st thats all id need. I cant figure it out. I tried lowering the volume for track 1 as low as possible so it barely is hearable & it still gets recorded by the mic ruining the next track. I dont know what else to do. I cant add any tracks on top of each other without them becoming a big distorted mess. And I am not the guy thats likes playing to a metronome only. Adding fills & vocal harmonies that way for me just isnt gonna cut it. I need to hear the song. Just like when recording vocals only I need to at least hold a guitar & fake strum if possible. I feel it more.
@xole2 жыл бұрын
what's up! i totally feel you on this one, it's pretty difficult know how to move tracks around to make the overall song sound more clear. but the main things that help me with this is panning and EQ! if you move your tracks around left and right they can create space for other tracks that are down the middle. same with EQ! if you cut out frequencies in some tracks, it'll create more space in others! i talk about this exact thing in my new bandlab video! kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zqa6qHyDeNiSZpo
