Fred Weinberg recorded the original Song, and has remixed it, as heard on Wolf Of Wall Street . The video is for reference only, with Fred a the Console from years back, and snippets from today.

Hi Fred. Thanks for sharing that images, amazing job, I always enjoyed that mixing and recordings you made in the Latin music. One of my favorites is "El Músico" Ray Olan.

The story behind this song is great. The sextet was playing to a predominately black crowd in NYC. Palladium I think but not sure. The sextet was bombing with the audience. They were not dancing mambo and cha-cha's. So the pianist started playing a random set of chords. They saw the crowd reacted so they all joined in adlibing. The sextet started voicing "Ah She Freaks". But the crowd started chanting "ah p p". Soon after that they went to the studio and recorded what could be considered their greatest hit and the start of the Latin Soul / Latin Boogaloo era. I feel lucky to have lived that era.
