Me getting the notes right tends to be the take :) The microphone is a Shure PG57. It's like an SM57. It's from a shure drum kit mic kit. The recording is just for myself and it's at my desk, so there's computers humming etc, so Dynamic is the answer for that situation. for "actual" recordings of trumpet, it depends on the part. I use Dynamics, ribbons and Condensors depending what I'm playing they all have pros and cons.
