I have been recording vocals when playing the style at the same time using the Audio quick recording, but now I will try to record the MIDI first, and then put the Audio on top. Hi, thank you for you great explainer Video. I have seen you are using external monitor for your SX900. Do you think it is possible to use a touch screen external monitor and operate the keyboard from that monitor? I have seen people were able to do it for the Montage and MODX. Thank you.

Thank you, Jennie - I have been using this function a lot and it works great, and this trigger of another question. Is it possible to record a vocal on top of an already made song (an Audio), instead of on top of a MIDI? I would love to be able to put 2 or 3 vocals on top of each other in one song.

Unfortunately not. I think the Genos might have 2 track audio recording but not certain.

Jennie thank you so much for explaining this. You made really easy to understand and i can't wait to try this (as soon as i have gotten rid of my cold 😅). I do have a question however that is not related to this topic but I'm hoping you'll be able to tell me. At my age I find it difficult to see the screen properly and i would like to know how to connect my PSR SX900 on a screen like yours. Is it a smart tv or a computer monitor? What kind of connection do I need? I would very much appreciate your help, thank you. 🙂

Purper Moon ,you need a usb display adapter for connecting a external display , you van read About it in the SX900 Manual.

No I don't but I used a usb to hdmi video card adaptor. The brand I used was startech.com .

Why you cannot play the style and record your voice at the same time? You can do that oin the PA4X Korg

Of course you can. I like to prerecord the style so I know it is perfect then I can just sing along and not worry.

I find it very annoying that it is not possible to record vocals into its own separate channel, so I can balance out the audio levels afterwards.

Unfortunately not. Once the audio recording is done there is no ability to transfer it. Yo8 can try importing it into Ableton if you would like to edit it.

The other way to do it is to do the multi track recording first then lastly add the vocals

I don’t have a Genos in front of me but pretty much. Yamaha standardised the procedure for all top end keyboards and slight changes for the Clavinova CVP range.

@@4047530025 Plugable UGA-165 works great. It has HDMI and etc. I found on eBay for about 35 bucks.
