@@NewFalconerRecords so, after playing with it for a while... I have it going through the front of a Peavey Special solid-state amp on the clean channel with bass/mid/treble at noon. Even with the pedal's gain at noon, it feeds back at bedroom volumes. My guitar (ibanez Jem jr) has a treble bleed mod and the pedal is articulate throughout my guitar's volume spectrum. A lot of gain on tap here! The tone knob is very responsive and the presence knob adds plenty of sizzle. I paid 25.99 US dollars on Amazon for this pedal and it is worth more than I paid for it in my opinion. It will stay on my board for sure. The gain type isn't very 'British' to me; it lacks the mid honk and low end flub I personally associate with Marshalls. It has a tighter gain structure similar to an American amp, like a peavey. That is right up my alley. Even with the gain maxed, it isn't too noisy or out of control and note definition is definitely there.

@@AMSOfficial79 Wow! What a fabulous run down -- thanks for that, and I'm glad you like it and didn't think I was trying to sell you snake oil. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound of the pedal initially and couldn't find any other reviews of it on You Tube at the time. I hope people read your review after watching the vids 'cos you've managed to put into words a lot of what I thought about the pedal myself, especially in terms of the tightness of the sound and the note definition. I'm glad it wasn't just my imagination. And 26 US Bucks, hey? That's not very much money is it? Thanks again mate, for responding in such an intelligent way. Cheers!

Nice videos on the pigtone. I commented on the other video about I use a noise gate with which takes out the hum an can help control it a bit more. I like what you did with it. I have the pedal on my board. I paid like 28 US for it. Its nice for a poor guy like me.

It's a real go-to pedal for a no-nonsense crunch sound. Glad you got something out my videos. Cheers mate!

Hey, this could be a Kiss song from the 70's. I bought the same pedal on a whim, it's supposed to be a clone of the Carl Matin Plexi Drive. I'm going to take it out tomorrow to test it again. Thanks

Thanks for that. Yeah, I was going for an old school anthemic kind of thing. Hey, why not? I'd love to hear your thoughts on the pedal once you've revisited it. Cheers mate!

The NZ/Sth? African accent drove me crazy. If you want good cheap pedals try Tone City especially the Golden Plexi.
