"Did you meet your stars?" "No, not really.. I don't want to. Music is enough for me." Such a great guy, such a great guy.

Ray Lamontagne has this fantastic way of unintentionally exposing how frantic and vacuous the vast majority of media people are. While they desperately grapple for whatever they can get for themselves, he just floats through them and by them as if they're hardly even there. And they largely have no idea how to deal with someone as grounded as he is. He's the personification of mindfulness.

HILARIOUS! I won't pretend to know Mr. LaMontagne, despite my admiring his lyrics and the 'purity' of his approach, but when real and fake collide in such a cataclysmic fashion, you can't help but laugh. Ex. "I really like your top hat"??? Many years ago, there was an exchange between none other than Rob Zombie and one of the innumerable, bobble-headed VJs at MTV and it went down (believe it or not) even worse. The veil is such that we sometimes overlook the distinction between 'that world' and the world that most of us live and love, and breath in. "Say nice things and smile" seems to be plastered just outside of view of 99.999% of these backstage interviews and like anyone road weary and "far deeper than your average dolt," it seems all that Ray can do to remain engaged and involved while bizarre distillations (of nothing less than his childhood, influences, loved ones etc) let fly like so much pseudo-sincere, between commercial breaks 'filler.' The fact that the camera remains focused on everything but the subject of the conversation quite frankly brings the whole clip to another level of absurdity and ironically enough, beautifully corroborates Ray's suggestion that rock and roll and radio are these days sadly strangers. Darkly, sadly, hopelessly hilarious.

Haha he doesn't give a SHIT about the Grammy's "ambivelant" - damn that was perfect! You could hear the switch in the tone of his voice when he said "it's uh.. Nice, it's nice"

Glee guy does juxtapose, but it annoys me. I met Ray and his teenage son in my town in the Berkshires. Very humble. Very kind. Very brief. He said, "I like to lay low when I'm not touring." He also has a beautiful candy apple red coup hard top.

Why does she keep touching him? Lol Jesus so awkward. Judging by his disposition she should b able to discern that he’s probably introverted and not the lively type, the touching was weird, just ask the questions and stop tryna make him entertain the jokes 🤦🏾♀️

...I find this quote somewhat annoying! I mean,if someone inspires you, then go ahead and be inspired. Should EVERY RIGHT! But if your inspiration comes from a different source, don't knock someone else's . That's not fair. And you feel that strong, then why don't you get into the public eye,so that you can share your story of who inspires you,etc... Til then ,please, quit crying!
