I was having a horrible day today rasing two grandchildren, one middle school, one high school, and my husband is a disabled veteran in a wheelchair that's also speech impaired. I've been on my feet since 4am and was feeling angry with God because I'm tired, but they are waiting for dinner. This song came on and brought tears to my eyes. I love you guys . I feel the love in my soul. God is going to carry me through this journey so I can continue to take care of all of them and our home. I am not alone. He got me. Thank you so much for this song!!!!

As you can see by my "name," I'm OtisFan1. Otis loved to nurture and mentor new talent. He'd be proud that these wonderful young men from Australia are carrying on the tradition of 60s soul music. When I discovered Otis in 1964, I had only missed his first two records and caught up quickly. I just heard the Teskey Brothers for the 1st time yesterday, so I've got a lot of listening to do. Blessings to everyone listening. ❤

Lyrics- My kids and I love singing along to this for fun like we are in the crowd. Hold me, don't hold me down Carry me, but keep my feet on the ground That storm is coming down hard I'm your shelter every time it starts But if you leave me, I'll be moving on You'll have a hard time drying when the fire is gone I'll hold you, I won't hold you down, yeah I'll carry you, but keep your feet on the ground You're the storm and I'm the Murray darlin' You keep me going Every time I'm dry But if you leave me I'll be moving on (I'll live on) But have a hard time running When the weather is gone Hold me, don't hold me down Carry me, but keep my feet on the ground, yeah I'll hold you, I won't hold ya down I'll carry you, but keep your feet on the ground In so many ways I just keep pulling But you're pushing me away Me away Hold me, don't hold me down Carry me, but keep my feet on the ground I'll hold you, I won't hold ya down Carry you, but keep your feet on the ground, yeah Hold me, don't hold me down Love me, but don't let me drown

It's been a long time since I have heard new music this good. These guys have talent and soul. No costumes or auto-tune or gimmicks of any kind; just talent! Keep up the great work. That is some Motown sound. At 77 I am ecstatic to hear music like this still being made. Nicely done boys.

Dear who ever wrote it first, I wish you the same :) This pale skinned talented singer sounds like Otis Redding to my music lover's ears. Sort of. I hope the Teskey Brothers to become famous enough to be reknowned in my home country France. They deserve being acknowledged by the most !

My 5 year old grandson sings all the time. He loves music. I was playing this song and he said ‘I like this song’. He will hear me playing songs and just listen then sing what I played. He sings everything from Eurythmics to The Drifters to Big Boss Vette, even Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus; and now y’all. His 11 year old brother plays the sax and has a guitar and keyboard. Wouldn’t it be great if they started a band? So, years from now, maybe you’ll hear of Alvy and Sylas.

I lost my Hero 3 weeks ago, to the Unforgiving Horrible disease Cancer. He taught me so much, but he never taught me how to carry on living without him. Dad, Forever I will miss you and Thank you from the bottom of my heart for teaching me me how to carry myself like a Champion but remain firmly with my Feet on the Ground. Love you So much.

Sorry about your loss...I lost both my parents (dad left and died in Belgium, mom was drinking heavily and killed herself when I was 13. My AMAZING GRANDPARENTS show me how to treat people and myself if I want to be happy. They didn't push me to University. I play guitar and love to paint. My RIP grandpa said: Don't ever let anyone take your dreams away from you, but it makes sense to have a safety net... I miss both of them so much...
