It is nice. It sounds so clean just through my speakers. A really good compact stereo back in the day was the Zenith IS4081 (I had the IS4061 not too long ago). They're from 1981 and it had a magnetic cartridge record player, Allegro speakers, both 8 track and cassette recorders and AM/FM radio. I believe it was 10 watts per channel RMS. It was so loud. The thing that blew my mind with it is that it tracked the Erich Kunzel 1812 overture on Telarc records. It tracked the cannons like they were nothing. I've had turntables that threw the stylus out of the groove in a couple places on that record. The record player was belt driven. There was something wrong with the size selector function. I believe 33 was automatically 12 inch and 45 was automatically 7 inch. It was stuck going to the 7 inch position on both speeds and it didn't have a size selector lever. Other than that, it was incredible. I'd really be interested to hear that one in person. As always, thank you for your reviews.

I have a 1969 Kenwood PC-400U that has that same style of anti-skate. I agree with you. Simple and effective..

That's a real cool set up and sounds great. I love the floating motor board. Some Garrard turntables in the 60's and 70's had similar bias compensation. On the mid range changers it wasn't adjustable but could be disengaged if preferred, but the higher end were adjustable.

Try a magnet on the platter see if it's magnetic. Check the stylus weight to see if the gauge is accurate! Check the RPM to see if it's accurate. You can use the RPM app on your smartphone.

That's a pretty neat StackStone record player with Jamo speakers and a unique anti-skate device that does look familiar as featured with some vintage turntables (like Marantz as mentioned in the video (the Marantz Model 6300, for example) which I certainly prefer to those typical, silly little weights on fishing line tied to a metal hook (almost reminiscent of the Jedi training remote ball toy as featured in a vintage Kenner Star Wars Millennium Falcon interior) compared to other higher-end turntables that have an anti-skate dial. :)

Off topic a bit, but you had a video of your Christmas record player last week. Since they are unobtainable now, I took my Victor Metro player and put some Peanuts Christmas wrapping paper on it. 😄 Since the sound is similar to the one you got and it's red, it works for me. Seasons greetings 🎄

I have a floor standing Jamo (a subsidiary of Klipsch) speakers. Excellent. I appreciate the trim pots on the back of the unit. Of course, no dust cover is a drawback, unfortunately.

Doesn't look that bad, and an Audio Technica pick up. My only complaint is the record hangs off the side of the plater unsupported. Not by much.not quite like a 1950's player. They were bad.

Also, wouldn't those be input jacks? It apparently has no output jacks. That's what missing from a lot of electronic equipment. You have to just use the internal speakers. Which is fine. But it doesn't look like you can use it to record your records. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'd buy it if I needed it.

first I would love to get this TT its very classy to me the price is fantastic and I have a Garrard AT-60 lab series has the antiskating on same side and is a little different but does the same it works very well and on the anti skating I was informed that you want the stylus to be stationary where ever it is placed on record it should not move entirely I thought it was not a big deal but when I did the adjustment I noticed that when you play an album on an automatic instead of the stylus jumping 2 grooves 9 times out of ten it will stay at the beginning of record I read this many years ago on a mag called stereo review it to me was like a recordology in magazine form they reviewed all knids of turntables and equipment just like you I have set all my antiskating adjustments o where it will not move at all and find that this really works ,also I like enoch light thanks to you cause of the albums you played and I bought several thanks to you but if you can find an album that tests the speakers ability like bass, mid and treble I know youtube compresses the music but you can hear some bass especially records with a lot of bass ,a lot of people are not going to play enoch light when buying this player they are going to play bass heavy music or close to it like pop music just a suggestion thanks for the vid I am going to see if I can get one of these turntables it does sound fuller than the original TT JRo
