You never put eq and effects on recordings. Number 1 NO NO. You Record dry and flat because what ever you put on the track during recording you are stuck with and can't take it off. Just ask Roger Daltrey of The Who. Their engineer during the Quadrophenia sessions recorded with echo / delay. Come to remix and they can't get rid of it. Bad advice.
