I grew up watching Love American Style, and loved it. It was brilliant and funny. Many of the cast members in each story segment were famous TV stars of the 1960s and early 1970s. It was on every Friday evening. Many Tv shows were awesome from 1960-1989.

The first sketch was sweet because this must have been when Jack and Brett were still married. And with Charles Nelson Reilly on, it's like a Match Game reunion.

Sometime after the show was syndicated, or when it was, someone put these two sketches in the same episode. It wasn't originally broadcast like this, but it would have been great.

@@recordsrob Yeah. After the original one-hour editions of "Love, American Style" aired in syndication, sometime in the '70s they remade them into shows to fit a half-hour that made them more friendly for local stations (and also doubled the number of available episodes).

Sigh. Just hearing the music theme again reminds me of my childhood watching this show with my family every week as a kid. The whole TV show line up each week and this show my a favorite because of all the guest stars. 100 X better than The Love Boat ever was.

Love American Style is definitely one of my favourite, main core memories, growing up. I can remember giggling while watching it with my parents. Most of the adult insinuating sexual innuendos were above my head as I was that young watching it. I would giggle when everyone else would giggle and mom would ask me if I knew what they meant or what the reference was referring to in the skit. Most of the time, I was not aware .....but there were also times I played dumb just to save the embarrassment of watching something so risque with my dad in the room. 😘🤐
