How did u make the holes for the eyelids? If I do it with a knife will it tear over time?

If you buy a grommet kit, it will include the tool and grommets so no knife will be needed.

I have only tried this one, so I cannot really compare quality. There are cheaper versions out there made in china, but I cannot say if they are good are not.

I noticed there were some steps that weren't shown how to do, ex: how you did the measurements (19in- from what point to what point), sanding, primer/paint, (cordage,) the eyelets and supplies used for it, the type/brand, etc. Great idea.

I am going to try this on some patio chairs. I bought brass grommets so they won't rust.
