Hi, back in 2010 I purchased some BTC from a friend. I encrypted the wallet and put the passcode on my phone. Well almost 10 years later I found the wallet on my desktop but cannot remember the passphrase. I was able to get the wallet loaded into Core but in order for me to send out I need the passphrase. Can we extract the passphrase from the .dat file in order recover the coins?

I had some btc locked up in an encrypted paper wallet that I was starting to write off as lost. Thanks for going through each needed step. Asking the software what to try was a little complicated at first, but in the end I had a typo in a number of my password that I would have never been able to guess! Don't see a btc address for you, but would like to send you some btc appreciation!!!! Thanks again.
