Did a job like this a few years ago, I used a Cat D6 with a winch, that didn’t take any prisoners, went back with the tractor and disc’s and reseeded, council well happy 😃

As someone who works on a fairground, I honestly feel for these guys, we stopped doing places like this in winter, not worth it. Creates a right mess and a massive nightmare

Where i live, they shut the main car park for the fair because it’s in October, much better than the motte and Bailey getting stuck in the floor

@@AaronCable-tf9tt definitely eats at the profit margins, it's finding the time aswell, we run on very tight time schedules so we don't always have time to be worried about how clean the wagon itself is, we always keep the rides presentable and clean though, that's the important bit. We mainly do car parks in winter, the ground is firm, easier to build on, don't need to run boards out, don't worry about getting stuck.

@@craigdoig9486 not replace the area, we have to work to return it to its former glory, so plant grass seeds, flatten any ruts, relevel the ground. We just have to do our best to return it to a good standard, but damage is expected on grassland and the council's are generally quite good with this thing. Sometimes we have to pay damages, in this case, with the storm it faced over the weekend it was there, the council would be quite forgiving but still charge damages and expect the showmen to do as much work as possible to get the grass to grow again

That park will need ploughing and a total leveling out then reseeded in the spring what a giant mess . Good effort from shauns wreckers plus that powerful John deere tractor. May be they should of got 3 huge powerful farmers tractors or a fairly big bulldozer as they can really pull stuff and shaun and his dad could have stayed on the hard road and just pulled by walking out the tow lines . That was a very difficult job but made great video

Track matting……………….. we put a Events vehicles on these conditions all the time… 10 pieces and then lift and place as you go. Saves the ground as well. X Buy my own toolbox. 🤣🤣🤣

It's Boston borough council's bloody fault. They do it in the park every October. In May they do it in the town centre. Would make a lot more sense to do it in the centre and they would have more custom without people slipping over. Thing is our council tax will go up because of the expense to fix it. It's still in a state now weeks later.
