Toucan-Is a crossing where both bikes and pedestrians can cross, Zebra is a crossing which is not signal controlled but drivers are expected to stop and allow pedestrians to cross. Pelican is a standard push button crossing which is controlled by pedestrians and not junction controlled. Awesome video Tim and Shaun!

i bought a brand new DAF on ETS2 (Euro Truck Simulator 2) sure Shawn would be happy to know but i almost went for a scania t-cab but i wouldn't have been able to make it sound like a proper v8 but the t-cab will be the next purchase for the company ofc :)

Zebra is flashing beacons and stripes. Pelican is push button traffic light controlled. Toucan has a pedestrian and cycle lane (two can cross) then a Pegasus crossing is designed to help people on horses!

Pelican crossings are the traditional crossings we all see around where you press a button, traffic light goes red, pedestrians cross. A puffin crossing is a more advanced pelican crossing (the ones that have the green and red lights for pedestrians on the button). They also have sensors to detect if the road is clear before changing the light to green. A toucan crossing is a pelican/puffin crossing where cyclists are allowed to also cross (shown on the green and red lights for pedestrians). A pegasus crossing is a pelican/puffin crossing that incorporates horses.

Zebra crossing is the yellow orbs. Pelican is traffic light for pedestrians. Toucan is a for pedestrians and cyclists. Then a equine and puffin crossings too. Page 10 to 13 of the 2007 revised highway code

The different kinds of crossing from a traffic engineer! Pufin crossing - pedestrian only (near side - the little green nan is on the bottom you push) Pelican crossing- pedestrian only (far side - green man is on the otherside of the road Toucan crossing- both cyclists and pedestrians can cross Pegesus crossing - crossing for pedestrians , cyclists and horses Zebra crossing - pedestrians have priority at crossing Tiger crossing - pedestrians and cyclists have priority at the junction

Yeah, Pelican crossing has got the lollipops with a black & white Poles. You have to stop for them so. Pedestrians can cross the other one is on a light mate matrix. You have to press the button to stop the traffic. Yeah, and if ever you get a chance, look at the box where you press the button underneath is a little round. Come that spins to let blind people know when to cross.😊😊😊

Great video Tim, I have only just recently started watching your YT content. I was a fan on tiktok and enjoyed the videos there. I didn't realise you do much on here so I have a lot to catch up on. Also a Toucan crossing can be used by both cyclists and pedestrians. I only remember this as when I had driving lessons my instructor taught me "Two can cross" which makes it easier to remember it haha

Toucan- TWO CAN cross (Bike/People) Pelican- standard light controlled crossing typically has the word Wait on the yellow box Zebra- well it’s obvious Puffin- like a pelican/Toucan but with sensor on top and usually red and green person on the yellow box.
