@@kdlingo4623 well what I done was create the windows media tool on my dads laptop and went into the boot menu and reinstalled windows fresh. Luckily it stores your old files in a folder called old windows and you can copy them back out. Some of mine were on one drive so I just went to the site and downloaded them as a zip. I lost some stuff but not as much as I'd thought I would.

You need a bootable stick with the windows 10 in it. You can find tutorials in how to make bootable stick. Then after inserting in it in your pc , you go to bios , boot from that usb then you'll be prompted with the same screen as in this tutorial when you can choose "repair pc"

quick note, if you start the machine in safe mode, open the cmd prompt, and check if the automatic repair function is set to yes. If it is, set it to No and restart the machine and it will most likely fix your issue.

Solved! Just by resetting bios. Used to solve itself by waiting for a while. But this time It was so stubborn. Here were my steps: 1. Power shutdown by holding power key. 2. Restart by pressing power key 3. Enter bios mode by holding F2. (For asus, depends upon the brand) 4. Reset Bios setting.

By windows installation media, do you mean a bootable USB drive? Or is it in a setting? If its a usb then at which point after writing those commands in command prompt and pressing continue do I remove the USB?

I agree with you. It's things like that missing information which causes people frustration and makes them decide to hit the dislike button on the video. He shouldn't really assume that everyone knows how to get into the menus. Try rebooting and hitting F8 continuously, sometimes it could be F10 or F12 ( different manufacturers sometimes use different buttons). That should take you to ' Automatic Repair ' and then click the ' Advanced ' option. I think Safe Mode is there. But there's no guarantee things will work from there. I'm getting really tired of Windows 10

It could be a thermal issue caused by your CPU overheating I'd first start but trying to force reset your pc by holding down the power button for 15 seconds and then try turning it back on then if you're using a computer I'd recommend removing the CMOS battery which is located on your motherboard for 15 seconds and then putting it back in then try turn your computer on. If none of those work id recommend taking it to a professional for further assistance.

You can use the Command Prompt to fix the “Preparing Automatic Repair” screen loop issue. Insert a Windows installation media (USB or DVD) and reboot your system. Press any key to boot from the installation media. Choose your keyboard layout and click “Repair your computer” at the Install now screen. Click “Troubleshoot” and then “Advanced options”. Click “Command Prompt”. Type the following commands and press Enter after each one: bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /fixboot bootrec /scanos bootrec /rebuildbcd Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved

@@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware i’m not sure this is the issue as it does seem to boot into the right drive. My main issue is when I try to press f8 to enter the menu to select safe mode all it says is the drives i can use or “enter setup” which takes me to bios, there is no sign of safe mode anywhere and i can’t access the command prompt.

Hi there, thank you for your question! Try holding Shift while selecting Restart from the Power menu to access the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). From there, navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings and click Restart; then press 4 or F4 for Safe Mode, or 5/ F5 for Safe Mode with Networking. Alternatively, you can open the Run dialog (Win + R), type msconfig, go to the Boot tab, select Safe boot, click OK, and then restart. If these options don’t work, try booting from a Windows installation USB or recovery drive, selecting Repair your computer > Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings, and choosing Safe Mode.
