With all due respect, I feel you've heavly playdowned this surgery. My surgeon worked on me for three and a half hours, I was given large quantities of medication but THIS REALLY HURT! And it did not go away quickly, I couldn't walk properly for three weeks. Physically and mentally I felt so unwell for a whole month. Please don't say "it's too easy", it's not like that for everyone. I'm happy with my surgery but nevertheless this took a toll on my body and had I solely listened to your opinion on the mastopexy recovery process, I would have felt slightly misled.

I’m surprised by the comments that it’s easy. It wasn’t easy and it’s painful! Why sugar coat it? My Dr. did not downplay the recovery and I appreciated that.

Dr Smita just did mine and I didn’t have drains. It was painful YES but I was on Tylenol by day 3. Showering walking talking. I slept a lot but I was not bleeding everywhere or feeling down/pain. 6/10 pain and I didn’t need many supplies just bra, ice packs, laxatives, fluids and arnica for swelling. It was super sore but it’s healing really well!

I'm 52 years old and had a breast lift w/fat transfer and TT w/lipo 7 1/2 weeks ago (on 5.17.24). The TT was a little intense at times...and I still have some discomfort and am a little hunched in my lower back, which is painful. But it's still too difficult to stand straight. But not even bad enough to take Tylenol. The breast lift, on the other hand, has been disappointing. I mean, the lift and fat transfer look great it's just that there is wound dehiscence under both breasts that just won't heal! Both breast were spitting sutures so I went to see my surgeon 1 week post op, 3 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, and I'll see him tomorrow - 1 day shy of 8 weeks post op. Every time I went in, he removed any suture that popped out and "cleaned up" the incisions under the breasts. Not comfortable and I feel like it's starting over every time I go. So frustrating! At least the TT is healing beautifully! While the lift didn't really cause me a lot of pain, physically, it's taking quite the toll on me mentally. It's like I'm never going to heal - and he just says this is normal and my body has to do the work. All that to say, why didn't these docs talk about THIS in their video?! You know, the stuff that Really happens?! So misleading. And there isn't a lot of info on KZbin about wound dehiscence when it comes to breast lifts (without implants). Nonetheless, I'll keep hanging in there. :)

breast lift with lipo - very pleased with the results. I was back to work in a week. Managed post-surgical pain with Tylenol only. Lipo is surprisingly uncomfortable, leaving the skin feeling bruised or sunburnt feeling. I highly recommend Bio-Oil (available at any pharmacy) for excellent scar healing and to ease any skin stretching of the breasts due to the new fullness. My surgeon recommended massage therapy to lipo areas to smooth any 'lumpy' texture that may take longer to resolve on its own. I continued to wear surgical bras for the support until the breasts were not tender (2 weeks). Resist the urge to buy a bunch of new lingerie for 7-8 weeks, while the breast tissue settles. Then, avoid underwire. With a good lift the breasts will sit higher and firmer on their own.

I just had a breast lift and tummy tuck 12 days ago and the breast lift didn’t really hurt and starting tomorrow I start my scar tape phase. The tummy tuck hurt for like a week. I get my final drain out tomorrow and my belly button stitches removed. If you’re thinking about it go for it. Get the mesh bra put in and buy yourself good compression garments (Colombian faja)

I just had a breast lift and lipo on 4/3 I’m almost 2 weeks out and I agree I was very surprised that I have very little pain from the lift. I am sore from the lipo but my breast really do not bother me. I have to remind myself to take it easy and rest.

Soft supportive bras are helpful for the first month or two months. My patients get back to the gym at 3 weeks and listen to their bodies to progress their activity.

I am sooooo excited! I used to have literally perfect breasts, then I had my first child and during his pregnancy my boobs blew up like the blimp, no joke, and after I stopped nursing, they turned into bags. That was nineteen years ago. It has been my dream ever since to get them done. I'm in good shape, but my boobs look like I'm seventy, and it's been like loosing my womenhood, so I'm sooooo excited. Do you have to sleep sitting up after surgery, if so for how long?

Sitting up helps prevent swelling which is useful, and also makes you less likely to roll over onto your breasts which is why your doctor likes this so much! Thats our little secret. Good luck to you- L & L

Overall, recovery is pretty consistent across various procedures. Some things can add a little more pain or discomfort in the first few weeks, but you should be back to resuming normal activities in 3-6 weeks after most plastic surgery. Best of luck- L & L

Hello. I came to Cancun to get my breast lift. The experience was amazing. I'm happy with results. It was done on Monday. Nurse visited me the next few days. I met with actual surgeon again on Thursday and had drain removed. I removed the stitches after 2 weeks. All is good!!!

You always want to make sure you are seeing a board certified plastic surgeon. Surgery is the entire experience before during and after the actual procedure. You want to ensure that your physician can help you with standard postoperative care and that they are equipped and able to take care of you if any complications arise. ❤good luck to you!

What if the breast feel hard after getting a breast lift without implants? How do you soften the breast?

Swelling can make the breast feel hard-that should soften up with time. Tissue that remains hard may be an area of fat necrosis where some of the fatty tissue hardens after surgery and could be permanent.

I’m 6 weeks post tummy tuck and mastopexy with implants. My right breast has been a challenge. Have some incision sites healing after spitting sutures. But at about 1 week po, i think i pulled my right chest/arm muscle and it hasn’t stopped hurting since. Even have places that are tender to touch on my lower breast bone. I haven’t been doing anything crazy and wondering when this muscle pain might go away? My right boob feels super heavy at night and it’s hard to turn in bed bc of the right chest muscle pain. Boobs are symmetrical and same size. No bruising. It’s all muscle. Please help.

Anesthesia will tell you it’s more dangerous to drive to the surgery center than to actually have general anesthesia in a credentialed faculty.

Dr I just had breast reduction 5 days ago Iwas 34D and asked for a B.. I can see them lift but they still look big on the sides especially. The dr took out less than 300 grams from each do you think that wasnt enough?

We recommend parents invite small children to cuddle in the couch instead of picking them up. Sometimes getting used to these routines before surgery is helpful for little ones to adjust!
