Recovery after Labiaplasty

Hello! Ladies. I’m 23 years old, I had this procedure done 2/29/24. I wanted to do it since I was 15 years old but at the time I didn’t have the money. This procedure cost me $5500 I did it with a board certified surgeon, specialize on the genitalia of the woman. She has done over 2000 labiaplaties. She did mine under local anesthesia, and since I suffer from panic attacks she prescribed me a Valium which I took it 30 minutes before arriving to the clinic. When I was there it felt like I was just going to a spa day, I didn’t feel any pain, only thing I felt was cold and pulling but no pain at all. 2 hours later the local anesthesia started to wore off which I started to feel pain and I took the percocets she prescribed me I took one and I’m 30 minutes the pain was gone. I’m on day 1/3/24 and I feel like I didn’t get anything, it only hurts when I clean it or when I gently pad it when I go pee. But so far it looks swollen so I can’t really see my results. I’m so nervous to see how it’s actually going to look. Wish me luck. Any questions please ask….

Also, if you ladies didn’t know wearing tight shorts and cutting lipo foam sheets like a pad. So you cut the lipo foam sheet into a pad shape but not big just enough so you can put it in between your underwear and shorts, so basically you going to wear your underwear and a panty liner, and than your shorts and in the middle you put two foams well let me tell you that will help a lot with the rubbing you wanna keep that spot nice and tight that will help with swelling and that will help prevent you from rubbing on your underwear and causing damage to your stitches.

Omg same I am 6 days post op and more swollen than when I first got it and I was freaking out so much. Thank you!! Using a water bottle pouring water while you pee WORKS WONDERS

I had my operation this morning, and my pain started pretty quick. Im having trouble sleeping because of the pain. In burns and stings a lot. No position is comfortable. Also sometimes after a walk or a toilet visit i get very nausias and light headed. It stresses me a bit. I called my clinic but they said, not our problem call your doctor. So so far not so good😭

​@@Medianewsxafter a week i was better. But it stayed painfull and sensiteff 6 weeks. Being intimit with your partner feels very scary because you are afraid of pain. It was a rough jerney. First week i only cooled and lied down. After 1.5 week i was more able to move.

Im getting a procedure in a few weeks and will def follow strict pre op instructions (except drinking is unavoidable for Thanksgiving). is this really bad? Also, with my job, I have 9 days to lay flat/elevated and then I fly to go to work as a flight attendant. What are my lifting, walking, restrictions. When can I start light exercising? There is such a range of what Drs are saying its ok! Some drs say its ok to have sex in a month, some say 2. Some say no exercise for 1 week, others say a month. Do patients vary that much in what the guidelines are for these activities? It's so confusing and really appreciated your advice already.

i think there’s a range because healing takes different amounts of time for each individual and also some may have add ons like fat transfer chr and more. hope ur healing goes well xxx

Healing is difficult in labiaplasty and often looks worse before it looks better. Check in with your doc to make sure you are healing as expected and good luck! _ L & L

The more you relax the better. So minimize your obligations outside of the house the first week.
