33k totally deserved! As one of the hypervigilant/fearful type I always appreciated your consistent message that "it doesn't mean your a special kind of broken"...this was just one of new beliefs I held onto. I am realising I am not broken or damaged...these types of thoughts or thinking is what is broken...coming from a place of misinformation from the past. I am always eternally grateful for you Dan.💚

I appreciate the beginning part when we just relax and breath together. Probably about 60% to 70% of the time i start out in a fear state when i watch your videos. So getting in that relaxed state and then listening to your videos is super helpful for me.

Thanks Dan! The book recovery you mentioned made me think of this true fact: A Chinese bamboo tree takes five years to grow. It has to be watered and fertilized in the ground where it has been planted every day. It doesn't break through the ground for five years. After five years, once it breaks through the ground, it will grow 90 feet tall in five weeks! The people who recovered quickly just read the book at the time they had already done the work underground for 5 years! 😮😊😉🤔

Thank you for this story. An Avocado tree takes 7 years to bear fruit. These things teach us some things take time and then we see the results. And the work that is going on unseen will soon become visible.

I’m currently reading Unlearn your pain by Howard and a way out by Alan Gordon for reinforcement- it’s always so fun to read so many things that remind me of your teachings such as, stay calm, don’t try too hard because it tells the body you are not safe, etc etc. Every other page of all these books all say essentially the same thing - educate yourself - create safety and stay calm and live your life.

Hi Dan, great advice as usual. I was doing well the last couple of months and a new symptom has knocked me for six! I was back at work and starting to enjoy life again. I am definitely being symptom lead at the moment as the symptom is one I feared the most, the sensations spreading to other teeth. I expect this is just a set back and I have to get back out there again. I hope to be joining your coaching group soon too 👍 Sarah 😊

Hi, I try to listen to the video's everyday. At present I am experiencing gum and teeth issues and due to COVID haven't seen a dentist since 2020. I have an appointment next week and am secretly afraid of the outcome. I am presently throwing a lot of stuff at my sore gums (oil pulling, natural mouthwash etc and am just hoping for some relief soon. I figured this is all part of TMS! Thanks for the daily encouragement Dan. I am one of thos hyper vigilant people and want everything to happen now

Dan, I just listened to more of your videos. This one is very good and it hit me. I know what’s happening. The brain is increasing the pain in the body so that I’m not involved with the sick feeling because it seems that the sick feeling even with the fever isn’t as bad as the pain this is my brain Being overactive now I just have to control this reaction and I imagine doing it with love is going to be better than doing it with anger. Thank you Dan Sandy.

most people are desperately looking for a way to effectively handle the training of their brain. And 'just' does not feel like 'just', but feels impossible. But it is isn't. Keep repeating in a friendly but strict and consistent way. Treat your brain like raising a 3 year old. It wíll work eventually.

A comment on tension: I’ve had pelvic pain for a little over a year now, I had “mildly hypertonic” pelvic floor muscles that were accused of causing my symptoms. I remember asking my pelvic floor physical therapist if the tension will come back after she released it and she said it usually won’t which made no sense to me lol If tension is a natural consequence to feeling stress, how would my muscles never be tense again after PT? I stopped going to my sessions and have been treating my “pudendal neuralgia” as TMS and am recovering by retraining my pelvic floor that it’s safe and doesn’t have to tense up all of the time. I haven’t been to a doctor or another physical therapist and I finally am recovering on my own. I was also a short-term book cure which is how I found out my symptoms were tms lol I read The Way Out by Alan Gordon and I was symptom free for nine days.

Hey Dan, I really believe a lot of issues I am going through is actually menopause. It's affecting everything in my body. So many strange symptoms. Perhaps this is something most of us in a certain age range are going through. Do you have any thoughts on this? I'm sure it is a huge issue. The frozen shoulder thing is a big one brought up my many.
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou 10 ай бұрын
We just had a discussion on menopause in yesterdays group call. Yes, menopause can cause real changes in the body, however I do not believe we should have a ton of symptoms all over our bodies due to hormonal changes. I would encourage you to stop reading about all the awful things women experience during menopause. That is creating a lot of fear and belief that you have no influence over what is occurring. Yes, menopause changes the body. But you don't need to be full of symptoms. The brains perception of danger absolutely plays a role in what you are experiencing. Watch my fast start playlist and evaluate the amount of fear, attention and expectation of symptoms you have. DansFastStart.com I believe this approach will help you tremendously.
