I survived this I was rescued by the air national guard they took me my grandma my mammaw and my aunt to hazard air port where I helped as much as I could I guess it's our blood our drive to be southerns I'm so proud of all my fellow breathitt countians if any of you are up 476 just take a look at what we are still trying to rebuild

I live right in one of the bends on the north fork across from war creek. Never seen the river like that. Heard stories from papaw about the 38 flood and it was bad. I'm praying for everyone. I wish I could do more.

I talked to some friends that live in the Hazard county area & they said that area lost 14+ people since it started & their trapped in.

How many hundreds of people have lost their homes and businesses in these floods? Meanwhile, it is 100 in Portland Oregon, fires are burning from Texas to Alaska, and a whole region of the US is running out of water. The climate crisis is pounding us and costing billions and killing scores already and it isn’t even very far into hurricane season!

Yeah usually people don't sell land around here that has been in the family for years. Another thing is that this is not a uncommon thing up here. It just hit the right spot this time. We deal with flooding and roads washed off every year. Oh but you know what. We're good people and we help rebuild. We don't want outsiders here anyway. I bet if you offered a new house in Lexington to most they would keep their water damaged home up here. Especially right now.
