Japan is marking 10 years since a massive earthquake and tsunami devastated its northeastern coast, killing thousands of people.
It triggered meltdowns at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, forcing entire communities to flee.
Some residents have since returned, but the recovery is still far from over.
