My wife had an 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee it was a beast off road and in the snow but drove like garbage on the road it wandered a lot for her but it never let us down and always got us where we needed to go. The tow points were non existent on hers Jeep really dropped the ball on that aspect of the grand Cherokee. Can't beat the 4.0 6cyl it'll run and run and run.

Pretty sweet Jeep I just got a 99 Cherokee Xj as a budget trail ride project already has a 4 inch lift.... got a good deal on it.... it won’t stay running so I’m hoping a new fuel pump will do the Trick
@dustintunis93475 жыл бұрын
I hope you checked fuel pressure and power at least at/through the fuel pump relay. That's a pretty big and expensive job to not properly diagnose first.
@coreyward51575 жыл бұрын
Dustin Tunis yea man I checked the fuel Pressure and it was getting great pressure until the Jeep starting warming up than it wants to lose fuel pressure and act like it’s out of gas
@dustintunis93475 жыл бұрын
@@coreyward5157 - I've never heard of a fuel pump going bad like that, not saying it couldn't though. I wonder if there is debris in your tank and it clogs your sock filter, but settles away from it when you shut it off. You could try running it until it dies, then shake the crap out of the Jeep to slosh the fuel around to clean off the sock filter, try restarting and if it starts right up then you probably just need to clean out your tank. 🤔
@jessicacordova50245 жыл бұрын
Dustin Tunis I used to have a 1994 Ford Explorer that went through a fuel pump a year it would start getting hot the pump would overheat and the fuel pressure would get lower and lower until it died
@dustintunis93475 жыл бұрын
@@jessicacordova5024 - Weird, I guess I have heard of it now. Did you run it low on gas regularly? The fuel pump should be submerged in gas to keep it cool until you are low.

You ought to have said about leaving the first spanner on the battery, it could short across the terminals of a charged battery, granted in the case of the dead one it's not an issue, but it's better to learn the easy way rather than the hard way.

12:00 Am I the only one that noticed that the brakes an not uniformly worn?
@TWX11385 жыл бұрын
I drove a '95 Nissan Hardbody 4x2 that I bought for $700 with one side of a front rotor worn-down far more than the rest, it was backingplate on rotor when I bought it and I just threw new pads on. I'm not proud of this but for around-town driving it was fine, it stopped straight and didn't suffer any weird brake fade. When I finally did brakes on that truck it was a major PITA (rotors are behind the hubs, one has to pull the hub like on a 4x4) and it didn't stop any better afterward. Uneven wear doesn't necessarily mean that it won't perform decently enough.
@lordkingdragon5 жыл бұрын
@@TWX1138 I was just pointing it out. Could be a potential problem down the road. I had a Silverado stopped great then I went to redo the breaks and there was not rear breaks I mean none. No pads, shoes just the push roads for them with a c-clamp.
