I don't need to start yet another sewing project, but I really want to try this. I saw some really nice ribbed knit at the fabric store the other day.

You don't need to... but you always could! 😂🩷🩷 it's a very quick project, I promise 😃🩷

Hi! If I don’t have an overlock, which kind of stitch do you suggest to use , on a classic sewing machine? Thank you so much and I love your tutorials😊
@recreatefulchannel2 ай бұрын
Hi :) so for the side seams you can still use a straight stitch for a nicer finish as they don't need to stretch. But for the seams that go sideways you'd be best using a zigzag stitch (unless your machine can do a stretchy straight stitch then absolutely use that). You can also get stretchy thread and use a normal straight stitch on your machine :)

Some machine also have an overlocking stitch which would work really well :)

I don't have a serger, I have a small overlock machine, Its like a mini serger but doesn't have a blade to cut the fabric.) My main sewing machine has an overcast stitch? Could this still work, or would I risk the seams being wavy?
@recreatefulchannel9 ай бұрын
Both would work! :) the seams that go length-wise don't have to be stretchy so you could always sew them with a stretch stitch on your sewing machine. And you also don't have to cut the fabric if your overlocker doesn't do that, it'll just mean you'll have a little extra seam allowance that you'd have to account for when choosing your size/cutting your fabric :) 🩷

Hi, are your seams flat? I sewed these flares and they awesome but my seams are not flat because of the seam allowance of the serger. How do I fix that? I don't want to have to iron them all the time.
@recreatefulchannel13 күн бұрын
Which seams do you mean? I've not had an issue with them sticking up. The flares should fit quite tight anyways so that it shouldn't make a huge difference :)

The long seams down the legs. But probably it's just because my fabric is quite thick.

Girly. I need some tutorial for anti-🐪. 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️

The best way to prevent it is to use a decently heavy fabric, the thinner the fabric the easier it rides up
@sqrxtvl15833 ай бұрын
Never thought of that. The weather could melt down people here so i really don't want to wear thick fabrics but thanks for the idea! @recreatefulchannel

Hi! These are a nice fit. I’m new to sewing and I’m finding that there are several ways to sew pants together. How does one decide on the way the pant should be constructed? Is it all just personal preference?
@recreatefulchannel9 ай бұрын
Hey 😊 I personally think the easiest is to work your way in, like I am showing in the video. But I have also seen people create two separate legs and then join them at the crotch seam! It doesn't really make a difference to the pant how you sew them, the only difference will be the seam inside the pants. So just see what works best for you! :)
