Recreating Mario Party’s Slaparazzi | Mix and Jam

One of my favorite mini games in Super Mario Party is called Slaparazzi - and I really wanted to try and recreate the whole mini-game which would allow me to practice building a full game-loop!

What I learned from this channel: 1. Step three is always polish 2. You can't make a good looking 3d game without designing and with just programming, even if it uses advanced math

A great video as always! Was hoping you’d try to recreate a Mario Party mechanic eventually and you delivered. Would be cool if you returned to Mario Party mechanics again in the future since there’s so many things you could recreate; The board movement, the Team Party from Super Mario Party, more of the various minigames, etc. Even outside of Mario Party mechanics, I’m excited for whatever you make next!

This is really well done. If I were to add one thing to this, it'd be the "Start" and "Finish" text popping up, but this is fantastic Mechanic suggestion: Gravity Rush's shifting, I think it would be really cool to see a recreation of that kind of system

For the point calculation, I think something like a seperate buffer ("rendertexture") would be nice. Just draw all 4 players as a seperate color (or even a seperate channel on RGBA) and then just count the pixels in each channel/color. Get % of sum of pixels and you got your ranking :)

These debug arrows are created automatically and you can visualize them when you select both the agente and the navigation surface!
