I think "Saturday Night" was the most immersive cinematic experience I've had this year, more than "Dune Part Two". The second time I watched "Saturday Night" I was laughing a lot more. Might see a third time, it's really that good. :)

I just saw Megalopolis this afternoon and I honestly loved it. it definitely had a Baz Luhrmann flavor to it which is right up my alley

This was really a great one, guys! Even though I have only a slight clue what SNL is, I am now really intrigued to see it once it is out.

Love this movie. Especially love seeing Kim Matula, Dylan O'Brien and Larmone Morris. They were great in this.

It's shocking that Ella Hunt is this British girl who plays this posh lady in Horizon and then goes bananas as Gilda Radner here in Saturday Night

I agree with Kevin. I’m glad that Coppola was able to make the story that he’s been wanting to make, but apart from it being a Coppola movie I didn’t feel there was anything special with the world or the goals of the characters. I thought the first 30 minutes or so it was really intriguing but once it went to the colosseum sequence it lost me.

I totally agree with Kevin about Megalopolis. It was irritating and exhausting and entirely baffling. I was more bored than I’ve been in a theater in many moons.

I cannot wait to see Saturday Night! As for Megalopolis, there were some good ideas and themes in there, but execution was off. People laughed at certain acting choices that weren’t supposed to be funny. Felt like Shia was doing a Paul Rudd impression at times. As long as it was, felt like there’s a director’s cut that would take certain story lines more cohesive.

I think Sean meant to say Sentry not sentinel.

The old man is really slipping lately. Sad to see. Probably time to put him in a home!

@@seanoconnell2073 You're on the money with your theory though. In the comics, Sentry is Marvel's Superman but with a split personality disorder (hence the Fight Club song reference in the trailer). I can definitely see him being the Big Bad of this movie

Your friend of the show has not exactly been knocking it out the park lately with outstanding movies. Will there be a good story behind Gladiator 2 or will it be just another movie with good action sequences?

Anyone can comment on how Saturday Night is for someone who doesn't have a clue about SNL and has never watched a single thing from it or about it? It seems like it's kinda a inside baseball thing for Americans.

here in Finland, SNL has influenced the "Comedy combat" sketch entertainment program that has been shown since 2010. In the program, Actors perform various sketches for an hour and a half live. Some of the sketches are pre-recorded. In addition to the scripted parts, the Actors have to perform improvisations. In addition, an essential part of the program is the Sketch Character of the Year competition. in 2016, there was an official attempt to make Finland's Saturday night live program according to the original format, but it flopped badly, remaining for one season mainly because Comedy combat was already our own SNL.

Just in terms of a “Is this a good movie with a good story that keeps you on the edge of your seat”: Yes! This movie would be good, even if “Saturday Night Live” was just a made up show that only existed in the movie As an American who grew up watching SNL, I think it’s a little extra special. But it’s not exclusive, I think anyone could enjoy this
@AlexDelarge1990Ай бұрын
Eh, I would say you'd be missing a lot of enjoyment by not at least giving yourself somewhat of a rundown of who the characters in the movie were and who they became for that matter in real life. I could see some of the movie being a little confusing without it, in the sense you might be like, "why are we following these characters, who's this Billy Crystal guy they keep cutting back too, what up with this guy singing Mighty Mouse?" Etc...
@AlexDelarge1990Ай бұрын
Definitely worth it though, it's a way better movie than I was expecting. But again, I'm also pretty familiar with SNL so I got an extra kick out of it
