Taking your question about the neighbor way too seriously here, but I bet the revving is to keep his battery from dying without actually having to... you know... drive that particular vehicle on a regular basis. Idling would work, but take longer. Source: I do that too. It would probably annoy my neighbors less to just drive around the block a couple of times, but then I'd have to put on shoes and make sure my driver's license is in my pocket and not browse Reddit on my phone for those particular 20 minutes a week.

All the eating categories are human constructs. Herbivore and carnivore means that the animal gets the majority of its calories from plants or meat. Herbivores still eat meat if given the opportunity; because, living in nature is hard, and free calories cant be passed up. Carnivores still eat plant matter...when they eat the intestines of herbivores.
