Les modes de la femme de france has some of the most gorgeous fashion plates I've ever seen, and have me in a chokehold.
Playlist for all things 1920s: • 1920s
Materials used:
Black cotton-nylon blend corduroy (approx 1.5 metres): local fabric shop in Białystok I won't list by name as I do drag them significantly
black cotton batiste (approx. 1.5 metres): same as above

I agree about the difficulty of finding natural fibers. I live in South Africa and most ofour factories also closed. The cotton and wool are all exported. The label in clothes "made in South Africa from imported fabric" that is if one takes the time to search for clothes made here. What is still produced is the pure cotton Shwe-Shwe fabric.

I’m so happy the algorithm led me to your channel, the dress turned out stunning! Amen to your rant about the difficulty of finding natural fabrics - I live in the 6th biggest city in Germany, so you’d expect there’d be some decent fabric stores, but alas. Ended up not buying a single thing of what I needed for my new autumn clothes and had to postpone the projects :(( Anyway, I hope your holiday was lovely!!!

Thank you so much! Honestly I'm starting to think that the only option left might be online stores, but even those are slowly pushing out non-blended fabrics.

So feel you on the natural fibres... and how the plastics in blends DON'T make it better and nicer to wear... But at least you made it work!
