Foxy is a fucking star. What a bloody grounded guy. Switched on but completely humble. I bust my toes doing a selection course for something. I stuck in there but was eventually tugged. Can remember driving home, it was about a 4 hour drive and I felt utterly devastated. Eventually got selected on a recourse. But that day, walking away was so hard. Ha, as I right 5his my PTSD has me feeling like a goldfish memory wise, where as I us3d to be like an elephant. You can use your mind to do anything....but the day your mind turns on you.....it’s the one enemy that you can’t physically touch, deal with in a tangible sense, and my mental health support has been on existent. Anyway, foxy. Top bloke, would love to have him as my number 2. South Wales, UK.

I got a small splint of metal from screwing something on a ceiling in my eye once, its probably just a fraction of that guy's pain, but I kinda get how he feels, runny nose, streams of tears, pain from just looking in any direction, the sting is unbalancing and infuriating, mild torture really.

It was the right decision to pull her from training. Number 13 was struggling and the next stage was uncontrollable with the potential to leave her requiring extensive mental health support for a long time. Resistance to Interrogation is tough even on special forces personnel never mind someone who is already living with anxiety.

I’m an ex British soldier, infantry. 4 tours of Op Banner. I trained with SF for Banner related ‘hard routine’ tasks (1982, 1 Para took over from my battalion from which I was detached for duration of that tour). I’d struggle with white noise especially baby crying. Probably struggle with everything else. But I‘d go in worrying about how to handle white noise, especially after what immediately precedes it. I have no children.

It's truth of life that when disappointment hits, you gotta move on. But I'm honestly not sure how I'd deal with this kind of disappointment. I'd have to experience it before I can say certainly. Her reaction was understandable though. But, yea, emotions can get in the way. They judged with her this would be the case, I guess.

No you have it all wrong, she was in the resistance to interrogation phase. That is before the final sub branch of phases (which are the hardest). They assess each candidate at the end of each phase to see if they are mentally and physically fit to carry on to the next one. In this case, they could see she was mentally damaged and she needed to be removed because she simply wouldn’t have made it through the final one.

everyone in the comments talking like they’re some sort of SAS operator themselves. i bet 99.9% of you couldn’t get through the first day. I know i certainly wouldn’t get far. I may be alright mentally but i would SUCK physically. These guys have come insanely far and deserve all the respect, especially considering they’re just average day to day civilians. And this show is only based off a small portion of the real selection process. So imagine if they did the whole thing. I’m pretty sure it would be over by week two at the latest.

Kieren Standen she was completely fine, the doctor allowed her to go in and so did the SAS lads. They shouldn’t have pulled her out half way through when she shown no signs that she was in a mentally bad place. When she had the panic attack they should have sent her out. You think have some one having a panic attack when they are being briefed on the escape and evasion. They aren't leaking nothing this is a watered down version of the training they actually do on special forces selection I'm sure before it airs the Ministry of Defence go through all footage with a fine tooth comb to make sure nothing covert and secretive gets out. If you read Foxy's book he says that he and the other guys have to make sure they aren't giving the production team any convert tactics and information about stuff they've done or what they actually put you through on real life selection and if they did the MOD wouldn't allow the footage to be used they probably get final say on what gets aired

Shakiba's father was an iranian soldier, He was tortured and now has PTSD. Number 13 (Shakiba) wanted to go through the course to understand what her father went through. The umpire and Directing Staff decided to remove her before the interrogations truly started because once they did, there was no telling where they would go. Shakiba has nothing to be ashamed of, she's a tough cookie who gave it her all and got almost to the end. These things happen and the directing staff made the decision for a reason.
