Rectocele is a condition that occurs when the rectum bulges into the back wall of the vagina due to weakening or stretching of the muscles and tissues that support the rectum. This can result in uncomfortable symptoms such as pelvic pressure, a feeling of fullness in the pelvic area, difficulty emptying the bowels, and in some cases, noticeable bulging in the vaginal area.
The condition is most commonly attributed to childbirth, especially vaginal deliveries, which can cause injury or stretching of the pelvic floor muscles and supportive tissues. Other risk factors for rectocele include chronic constipation, straining during bowel movements, obesity, and aging, which can lead to weakening of the pelvic floor muscles and connective tissues.
This video shows some simple exercises that can be done to manage your symptoms. Understanding the importance of managing rectocele and incorporating targeted exercises, such as Kegel exercises and specialized pelvic floor exercises, can help alleviate symptoms and improve pelvic floor support.
It's important to note that while these exercises can be beneficial for rectocele, it's essential to perform them correctly and consistently to see improvement. Seeking guidance from a healthcare provider or pelvic floor physical therapist can help ensure that you are performing the exercises effectively and safely.
Join us for a session focusing on pelvic prolapse exercises that have been proven to alleviate discomfort caused by pelvic organ displacement, commonly occurring post-pregnancy.

Please keep doing more videos. It is so soothing listening to you. You give such good advice and to the point. I was in tears. I had no idea that this is so important or that the prolapse only gets worse if you don't exercise properly.

Hi..how long after a rectocele repair surgery can I start these exercises?
@ArogyaPhysioTips
@ArogyaPhysioTips 21 күн бұрын
@@gitaabraham9673 After rectocele surgery, it’s essential to allow adequate time for healing before starting exercises. Generally, light activities, such as walking, can be resumed after 1-2 weeks, but more intense exercises should be avoided for 6-8 weeks or until cleared by the surgeon. Pelvic floor exercises, like Kegels, may be recommended after a few weeks to strengthen the muscles, but any straining or heavy lifting should be avoided during the early recovery phase. Always follow your doctor’s specific guidelines based on your recovery progress.

@ArogyaPhysioTips 5 ай бұрын
Rectocele, which is a condition where the rectum bulges into the back wall of the vagina, typically doesn't directly affect periods. However, it can cause symptoms such as pelvic pressure, discomfort, and difficulty with bowel movements, which might indirectly impact your menstrual cycle or make periods more uncomfortable. If you're experiencing changes in your menstrual cycle or any other concerns, it's essential to consult with a healthcare provider for personalized advice.

Rectocele go back to normal after doing this exercise( first stage)

Yes, exercise can help manage and even improve the symptoms of a rectocele, but it typically doesn't completely reverse the condition.You may need a help from Pelvic floor therapist to reverse condition.Pelvic floor exercises, such as Kegel exercises, can strengthen the muscles supporting the pelvic organs and may alleviate some symptoms. However, the extent to which exercise can help depends on the severity of the rectocele. In mild cases, consistent pelvic floor exercises might reduce symptoms and improve muscle tone. Avoid constipation and straining during bowel movements by eating a high-fiber diet, staying hydrated, and possibly using stool softeners if needed. Maintaining a healthy weight can reduce the pressure on your pelvic floor. Minimize activities that involve heavy lifting or straining, which can exacerbate the condition. A specialized physical therapist can provide personalized exercises and guidance.
