RECUMBENT TRIKE RIDE BONGAREE TO WHITE PATCH, BRIBIE ISLAND

We travelled in our van with the trikes to Bribie Island, Australia which is about one hour travel from where we live in Brisbane. We decided to leave Miss Molly at home, in the comfort of the air conditioning. We parked our van in a car park, at the far end end of Bongaree, under the shade of a tree. We chose to go on a week day to avoid the crowds and started the ride at 7.30 in the morning. It was a very warm day, so it was so nice that there was so many shady trees on the pathway. From Bongaree we rode up to the start of the canal at Bellara, where we overlooked the water to Banksia Beach. The water views were beautiful and it was so peaceful. From here we rode around the outside of the canal on the road, and rode around to Banksia Beach. We passed through the Kakadu Shore Bird Sanctuary, on the way to the tip of Banksia Beach Canal . From there we rode up to White Patch on the most beautiful pathway, through trees with the most amazing bark texture. You can see the water in various places and we were able to see the Glasshouse Mountains in the distance. We then rode back, had some lunch along the way and enjoyed the changing beach scenes on the way back. The blue colours had come out in the water and the sand was so white. It was an amazing ride. Thanks Paul. I had issues with the software and finally was able to export. It was a lovely ride. Probably going to be a little while till my next video. We got flooded and ended up with 30 cm of water in the house and have had to move out whilst they rip half the walls out and repair 😟The good news we have moved to any area where there are lots of bikeways so happy exploring soon. It cheered me up to know you liked the video so much!😀

Paula we got flooded with 30 cm water through our house. Have had to move out of our house for about 6 months. We had to evacuate by canoe! Took out all the electrical items and my husbands medical equipment. Luckily we have insurance, but it is a slow process. Molly has also been ill. Spent two nights in emergency, but she is getting better . New bike paths to explore so maybe a video soon. Been a stressful time moving 40 years of crap and dealing with insurance companies. Glad you like the videos.

That is terrible that you had to leave your home and Molly was ill, I hope your husband got the Medical assistants that he needed so He will be alright as well. Yes all good. We have a rental house. It is just a slow process. James got his medical equipment replaced. New bike paths to explore !

Nice ride! With the front half of the Vel-top stowed, do you find the rear half creates more drag?

No, never had any issues. On the day we actually put the wrong back canopy on each trike, so James’s was sticking up in the air, because he had mine on. 🤣 when we started in the morning it was quite cool, but it did warm up, hence I put mine on. James never bothered to put his front canopy on and regretted it.
