This was one of the BEST tutorials. Thank you so much. I’ve reluctantly let go of some wonderful boxes, 😩 I’ve saved this because I love the idea of repurposing and we can never have enough storage. 😂 Thanks for sharing the steps so precisely.

Loved this! I have so many boxes I can cover.Lots of cigar boxes I have saved,cookie boxes,candy boxes and on and on.I knew I would find a craft for these.I love pretty boxes. Thank-you as always.
@CeriGriffiths8 ай бұрын
Just be aware if the box has a lid and you cover the whole box completely the lid may not fit, in that instance put the lid on the undecorated box, draw a line around the box where the lid comes down the side of the box and only cover up to the line. Above that line you may have to paint but again only a thin layer of paint so that the lid still fits.

Your studio must be a happy place to enter with all the organized splashes of color. Loved the 2 part video and all it contained. And I did like the repetition reduced although I would watch it all if you offered it. Can't imagine how long it takes to edit. I am not even patient enough to learn basic editing for a short home video.😅 Thank you kind artist for sharing.❤ Mean Nana

Hello from Colorado! I fell upon your videos about a week ago and I am hooked! I try to watch at least 3 each evening trying to “catch up”. This one reminded me of years ago whenever I finished wallpapering a room, I would use leftover scraps to cover boxes to match the room. I don’t wallpaper anymore so I love your idea of using your own paper (lovely by the way!). Thanks for sharing-looking forward to watching many more.

Thank you. This was very interesting and educational. I save the bottom of Velveta cheese boxes which are sturdy and I use them for a variety of storage in and on my desk and craft area. I don't use much of that cheese, but over the years I've collected quite a few. I keep my craft eyes open for upcycling.

I love the attention you took to getting a precise fit. Your OCD makes you great at what you do. It would be nice to cover more of the pod boxes for your other ephemera so they would match. Just add a label on the outside so you know what is in each box. One video I watched, they had a bigger box & fitted the smaller boxes inside. That way, you had everything you needed at arms length. Thank you for explaining every step in detail.

Great project. Great way to recycle. Many years ago I had spent a good portion of the night covering a paper mache heart. The next morning it was missing. At some point during the night our dog had taken it from the dining table and I found it in his “chew” chair. The heart was never the same again, no matter how hard I tried to recover it. I guess the point of story is you can cover rounded objects, with patience. Have a great day and thanks for sharing.

For your little corner gaps, if you used a strip of soft paper (maybe washi tape or fabric) to cover the outer edges and fold it around/in/over the corners, then cover with the decorative paper. Much like you did with the black strips inside. Those little gaps would drive me bonkers LOL. Fun boxes.

You do beautiful precise work, as usual. I use only Kleenex boxes doubled and cover them all with the same paper to coordinate my whole craft room. I found several different kinds of storage shelving that hold the boxes neatly. My husband helped a little! Your boxes are neater but I must have at least 40-50 boxes plus some bigger, taller boxes I found at D.T.

Like how you painted inside corners with black paint. Great idea. I love that you always pay attention to the details. I think that makes for a much better, professional looking piece. I'm a detail person, too. I like how you used Score Board to make inside paper, folding, instead of separate pieces. I would NOT have thought of that. One great thing about watching videos prior to making somthing, is all the small details you wouldn't think of, that make the "making" easier & better. I didn't know they had such wide double-sided tape. *** QUESTION: Will the lid still fit on the bottom doing covering this way??? *** Looks GREAT!! Sorry for long comment!!! TFS! Austin TX USA
@CeriGriffiths9 ай бұрын
Barbara I haven’t tried the lid but I’d be surprised if it did fit as we’ve now added four layers of painted papers to the dimensions, if it did fit it would be very snug.
