I love, love, love your bright flower with the thread and button. I thought it was my favorite. But as usual, when you started putting them in your Journal, the leaves and feathers came to life. I love looking at packaging and seeing how they could have a second life. So fun. I’ve had my snack, now I think I’m gonna go make me some lunch. Lol♥️♥️♥️

True "junk" journaling - very interesting. I wish I could find those chips that came in the red, black, and white bag because I loved the feathers you created from the pattern on the sides of that bag. The yellow flower came out quite well, too!

Yay 🙌for packaging! I've made feathers like this out of plastic milk bottle and hundreds of cuts. Very satisfying and very cute. The red and black reminds me of comic books or graffiti! Very cool 😎. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

Great idea, packaging from chips, coffee beans and such often has bright colors and also interesting ‘voice’, when touched. I will try to make some focal points out of it (birds, feather and such that are naturally colorful). I just went ahead found on Pinterest a silhouette consisting of several easy-to-cut-with-scissors shapes that can be arranged into a form of a bird. This could be a super fun activity and even a theme/method of a whole junk journal. Thanks!

My tips would be to be very honest with yourself about your actual needs. For example, do you mostly emboss, only use thin dies, or do you have a collection of steel rule that you love? Are you going to use it so much that a hand crank will hurt after a while? Look at the cost of replacing your plates. Look at the ease of replacing them. Read reviews about the different machines. How much space do you have available? Does your machine need to fold? Do you want a bigger machine that allows you to cut many dies at once? For me, my bigshot broke. I used it A LOT. When it broke there were 2 electric machines on the market. Full size gemini and Vagabond 2. I went with the Vagabond 2 because I already had the plates, was familiar with the sandwiches, and MOST IMPORTANTLY FOR ME THE GEARS WERE METAL INSTEAD OF PLASTIC. The Vagabond 2 has been discontinued. Do you only use small dies, or want to use small dies? Would a small machine be your best choice? I can't recommend a bigshot because a friend's and mine both broke. I hope something here helps. Purchasing a die cutting machine is a personal choice based on your needs.

These flowers, feathers and leaves are a really ingenious idea. They are beautiful and beautiful as well is the use of recycled garbage. I can see myself making a ton of them to use and to donate to the art class at my grandchildren’s elementary school. I am surprised that the glue stick worked, was it something special for plastics?
