Recycling Truck POV GoPro

Couple minutes of GoPro footage on Freightliner recycling truck. I have the GoPro for dirt bike riding but figured why not use it at work see how it comes out. NY.

Must be a nice neighborhood. Recycling with any kind of redemption value is picked clean overnight by the street-type people around here. And I don't exactly live in the hood... Good job on the video. Looks like you get a decent cardio workout, all the while getting paid!

thanks for watching dude! I only drive this truck (curbsorter) once a week the rest of the week I drive a packer. Been doing recycling for about a year and a half, and yes the garbage is picked up on a different day. I'm going to try to get some more footage soon maybe when it cools down a bit; its just too hot out to be wearing a camera on my head lol.

Oh my god. That was just like 2 trucks we had back in the day. It was a shoulder buster. Horrible using that truck in the rain. Every time you lift a bin overhead you would get soaked if you didn’t flip it right and fast.

I don't know much about curb sorters, but how does this work when the recycle starts to fill up higher than the dump level? Does it have something to slide up? But then that means it would be higher to dump the recycle.. Good video though! Like this truck

Yep, sides slide up and a step folds out so he can reach up. They go as high as where it starts going diagonal

DarthDave573 Yeah, here in America most Garbage trucks have 2 steering wheels so if they have stuff on the right side of the road, he can use the right steering wheel. Same with the left.

+Andy Elkins Looks like it would be a side dump setup and the passenger side wheel is for quick pickups and the driver side is for driving to and from pickup/dump sights.

You should have got hydraulic brakes for as many times as you pull the parking brake, you're gonna lose all air in the tank and pressure
