Why is it so important to recycle in Maine? Or anywhere, for that matter? Our environment needs recycling, so landfills don't keep getting bigger and filling up. But did you know that our manufacturing and supply chains need recycling, too? Recycling helps divert material from landfills AND saves us money!

Maine has an outstanding recycling system in place, as well as wonderful tools for educating the public about the importance of recycling. The rest of the country (and world) should look to follow Maine's example in this area.
