Sergiu from your experience what strategy games have the BEST Skirmish? I mostly play offline, skirmish matches are really entertaining.

It depends a lot on what you are looking for: Stronghold Crusader HD - If you play Skirmish you will be able to enjoy the economy & castle building, as the AIs are not making huge armies before attacking. If you play multiplayer, you and the enemy can build up massive armies and experience a new level of combat (don't play against experts, the way they play ain't that fun, if you don't win) C&C Generals - has great Skirmish Age of Empires 2 - Skirmish is nice, it doesn't impress me too much Cossacks 1 or 3 - It has great Skirmish, you can have really nice battles with the AI. :) 0 A.D. It's great, you can build really massive cities (Sandbox here), skirmish is also really nice Starcraft 2 - has decent Skirmish but an amazing campaign Dawn of War 2 - You can have really nice battles with the AI in Skirmish Ultimate General - is only skirmish, so you should enjoy it, since the whole effort was put in there Ask me about other games you would like to know

Well, there is Company of Heroes 2 - A lot of people play AI Skirmishes there as well. With a little bit of luck you can get it on a steam sale for 75% off.

I once played a ffa against comp in dawn of war 2 soulstorm. i got defeated and it came down to tau vs space marines. I kid you not (and wish i still had the recording), i went to bed at about 8pm and woke up for work the next morning at 5am, the battle between those two was still going on! Dawn of war has really great skirmishes. If you are a star wars fan, i recommend empire at war or star wars galactic battlegrounds (age of empires engine with star wars characters) and the other games on this list are good skirmishes from what ive seen. ive only played dawn of war, ultimate general, age of empires, starcraft, and c&c.

The speed increase cap for unit production is at 8. You don't need to build 20ish barracks, building 20 and 8 has the exact same effect.

You can also use the Q, W, E and R buttons to switch to any of the four tabs! In fact, when a building finishes in the first tab, instead of clicking on that tab, then on the building, pressing Q automatically clicks on the building for you to deploy too, so you only have to click on the field with your mouse! Same thing with the W key when a building finished in the second tab!

you could have choked all their land forces by putting a 4x2 grid of mirage tanks on their side of the bridge and get to keep all the oil depots on it.

not sure if you were aware, if you actually have an aegean cruiser attack an air unit like a kirov, instead of the standard auto attacking, it will fire twice as fast?

The build speed increases if you have more unit factories. The cap on this is 8, so in maps with a ton of money you build 8 barracks, 8 war factories and 8 construction yards.
